The previous article introduced the entry-level color DSO
cooled camera ATR3CMOS09000KPA. Today, we introduce
its mono version: DSO Cameras - ATR533M. Compared
to the built-in RGB filter array in color cameras, monochrome
cameras can be paired with more filters, such as red, green,
blue, and narrowband filters.
Advantages of DSO Cameras - ATR533M
The DSO Cameras - ATR533M is equipped with a Sony IMX533 monochrome sensor, with a readout noise level of 2.25e- to 1.09e-. If the low noise mode is turned on, it can reach an ultra-low level of 1.42e- to 0.97e-.
The camera also supports gain mode switching. LCG mode is the default mode. If the camera is switched to HCG mode, the analog gain of the camera can be raised. Images generated in this mode have a higher signal-to-noise ratio, which can shorten the exposure time and improve the efficiency of imaging sessions.
The DSO Cameras - ATR533M camera also has a high full well mode, which helps the camera reach 100ke- full well capacity when turned on.
The IMX533 is a 1-inch square format, 9-megapixel CMOS image sensor with a pixel size of 3.76 um. It offers high clarity and low-noise performance.
Cooling Effect
The DSO Cameras - ATR533M is designed with an integrated heat dissipation structure and an efficient cooling module. This allows the image sensor to operate at a temperature that is 45 degrees lower than the ambient temperature.
It also supports 1-hour exposure time, ensuring the capture of every faint detail.
Anti-Condensation
The ATR3CMOS series has an anti-dew heater positioned at the protection window, with 4 adjustable levels, allowing users to find the most suitable heating power for their needs.
The USB 3.0 interface offers 5 Gbps bandwidth. The 512 MB DDR3 buffer supports stable data transmission and helps prevent frame loss. Together, they help the camera work with PCs that have lower hardware configurations.
